The Great Raid (2005)


M1 Garand

The M1 Garand is used by most U.S. Soldiers and some Filipino resistance. One is used with rifle grenades. Lt. Riley (Craig McLachlan) begins the raid by shooting a watchtower guard with a Garand.

Type 38 Arisaka

The Type 38 6.5x50mm Arisaka Rifle was used by most Japanese troops and some of the guerillas.

M1928A1 Thompson

Captain Juan Pajota wields a M1928A1 Thompson when they first meet the Rangers. It later changes to a M1 Thompson when he's actually firing it.

M1A1 Thompson

An M1A1 Thompson is used by several characters, Including Rangers, notably 1st Sgt. Wojo (Max Martini) and Filipino Resistance leader Juan Pajota (Cesar Mantano). Used to blow off main lock to Cabanatuan Death Camp.

Nambu Type 14

A Nambu Type 14 Pistol is used to execute prisoners by the Japanese camp commander, who is killed by his own pistol in a fight with first sergeant Wojo (Max Martini). Several Japanese soldiers carry them also.

The M1918 BAR is used by U.S. soldiers to lay suppressive fire and also used by some guerrillas.

Springfield m1903

Lt. Colonel Henry Mucci (Benjamin Bratt) uses a Springfield 1903 as his personal rifle notably to kill several Japanese soldiers crossing the river to try and flank Filipino soldiers. He probably was given one by the Guerrillas as he was seen with only his 1911 earlier.

Various M1911A1s are used by resistance members acting as bodyguards to Margaret Utinsky and by several Rangers.

Type 99 Machine Gun

A Type 99 Light Machine Gun is notably picked up and used by Japanese camp commander who used attached bayonet to wound 1st Sgt. Wojo and used by several other Japanese soldiers.

A Browning M1917 is one of the machine guns used by Guerrillas to hold the bridge.

A Black Marketeer fires a Mauser Pocket Pistol at resistance when Utinsky flees, noticing deal was a setup.

A black marketeer draws a Mauser C96 from the small of his back but is shot by a resistance member before he can use it. Unfortunately it blends in with the fence and I couldn't get a clear shot of this scene.

Used by American soldiers, including Captain Fisher (Robert Mammone) to destroy a machine gun nest.
