The Blue Knight (1973)

The Blue Knight is a 1973 television film based on the best-selling crime novel of the same name written by Joseph Wambaugh. William Holden stars in the film as "Bumper" Morgan, a veteran LAPD patrol officer one week from his retirement who looks to solve one last crime before he leaves. The film, which originally ran over two nights in the US on NBC, would also inspire a 1974 television series of the same name starred George Kennedy as Morgan.
