The expedition uses lever-action rifles, McBride and Hogan (Shane Rimmer) in particular.

McBride takes aim at a pair of ceratosaurs.

McBride ceases fire after realizing his rifle isn't doing much.

McBride uses a flare gun to scare away some cavemen.

McBride and Hogan both carry holstered revolvers. Only McBride's is ever seen out of its holster.

McBride fires his revolver into the air to scare away a stegosaurus.
