2nd Martian Rifle

I think that the CX4 is actually a different build of the APS UAR. Tested did a video where Adam Savage examined some of the guns and helmets from Season 2, and you can see this rifle briefly at the bottom of this shot:

Assuming that this is the same rifle, it looks to be an APS UAR but with a slightly different bridge between the magazine well and the grip, and an entirely new front end. In the video they said that the original Martian rifle had problems, whereby if the rifle was ever dropped or knocked the exposed barrels would always get bent so they were constantly straightening them, so my guess is that the new design is to make them more robust. FYI, the middle rifle is apparently Amos's rifle and is built from a SCAR. The weapon is actually a pump action, but they didn't know it had to be when they started building it hence the slightly odd base weapon choice. --commando552 (talk) 10:02, 4 February 2017 (EST)

Slightly off topic maybe but how does the show compare to the books? I've read four of them so far, really liked the first one but found the second to be a bit meh, the third one was amazing however.--AnActualAK47 (talk) 10:57, 4 February 2017 (EST)
