The Warden's snub nose

I removed the extra image of the pawn shop shelf with three handguns, because none of the snub nose revolvers in the case were S&W Model 10 Snubs (look at the top strap and rear sights (or lack there of on the real Model 10) and the guns in the pawn shop window. Tim Robbins and the DS

Per IMDb trivia:

"In the closeup of Andy's hands loading the revolver in the opening scenes, the hands are actually those of Frank Darabont. Later in the film, while Andy carves his name into his cell wall (seen twice in the film), Darabont's hands are used again for the insert shot. These closeups were filmed during post production, notably because Darabont felt that only he could do exactly what he wanted in the closeups."

I watched the scene again, and Tim Robbins does take the gun, wrapped up, out of the glove compartment. I'm not sure that counts though. --Funkychinaman (talk) 20:48, 16 August 2015 (EDT)

I didn't know that. Thanks for the trivia info. --Jcordell (talk) 16:59, 17 August 2015 (EDT)
It's on IMDB. I don't know the source of this, however. If this is true, Darabont when through a fair amount of trouble, wearing the same costume. I watched it again last night, and it's pretty seamless. --Funkychinaman (talk) 17:10, 17 August 2015 (EDT)
