Some ideas

First, unidentified sniper rifle seem to be some version of M1903 Springfield. Due to the shape of the stock it may be an original M1903 rather than M1903A1 or A3 version. Second, P38 seem to be an ordinary blued P38 rather than Gray Ghost. Third, the pocket revolver resembles a Belgian version of Webley Bulldog with folding trigger, but it looks too small. And last but not least, Fush's revolver - it's a mysterious gun that looks like a crossbreed between Smith & Wesson frame and Colt Python barrel. Similar looking revolver is seen in Gang War in Naples. The only similar looking revolver that I could find is a Rossi Model 851 but it appeared only in 1990s. The high profile front sight of this M1903 resemble the one seen in The Sand Pebbles. And the rifle seem to be fitted with a flash hider. Maybe some special police version? Greg-Z (talk) 16:11, 27 August 2014 (EDT)

Thanks to JCordell, the mystery of the revolver is revealed at last. It's a so-called Smython, the barrel of a Colt Python fitted to the frame of the Smith & Wesson Model 19. Greg-Z (talk) 02:17, 28 August 2014 (EDT)

To be honest, I'm not convinced that the mystery revolver is a Smython. Firstly, on the surface it seems odd to me that a custom pistol made in America for competition use from two American revolvers would appear in French film, however I suppose it is possible that they were exported. More to the point however, there are some notable differences between the barrel on this and the one from a Python. Compare the bottom two images to see it most clearly:

Firstly, if you look at the ejector rod and the slot in the underlug for it, on a Python this ends just ahead of the first of the vents in the rib, however in the movie gun it goes farther forward, reaching just past the rear of the second one. Also, if you compare the spacing of the vents on a Python the gaps between the vents are about the same size as the vents themselves, as opposed to the movie gun where the gaps are noticeably smaller. Also, I think the ID of the short barrelled Python is wrong as well:

Firstly, to me it looks like it has a S&W style release rather than a Colt, however I can't really see it properly to tell for sure and could be wrong about this. Secondly, the hammer looks to be the wrong shape having too short a spur. Thirdly, the front sight is wrong appearing to be a single, lower profile piece built into the top of the rib as opposed to the Python which has a removable blade on top of a ramp. Fourthly, and most definitively, is the cylinder where the notches are visible showing that it rotates in the opposite direction to a Colt, and the notches themselves are of a more S&W style as opposed to the longer Colt ones. Apologies for not having alternative IDs for either of these, but my guess would be that these two revolver might be different length barrel versions of the same gun, most likely something European and obscure. --commando552 (talk) 07:51, 30 August 2014 (EDT)
