Flintlock carbine ID

The flintlock carbine seems to be too long for 1803. Maybe a 1839 Cavalry Stutzer? I cannot find any photo of this gun, only a drawing from a late 19th century book. I'm not sure, just a guess. --Greg-Z (talk) 15:44, 4 May 2022 (EDT)

Yes, after a close inspection, I guess, that this is M1833 Cavalry Carbine: the shapes of the muzzle and trigger guard, the positions of the front sight and a barrel band looks similar to M1833 carbine. Pyramid Silent (talk) 16:09, 4 May 2022 (EDT)
What's curious, the gun on the original poster is drawn with a percussion cap lock.--Greg-Z (talk) 07:04, 5 May 2022 (EDT)
Many of these late flintlock weapons were converted into percussion cap lock in mid 19th century so maybe they used such converted one for reference for the poster. --Nanomat (talk) 21:16, 5 May 2022 (EDT)
