C4

C4 explosives are uncovered by the Five-0 team in "I Ka Wa Mamua" (S3E06). They're used by the terrorists for their suicide vests.

Chin's sidearm

When Chin is in the parking structure walking towards Delano firing his pistol the silohette looked more like a HK P30 rather than a SIG P229. --cool-breeze (talk) 15:14, 25 September 2012 (EDT)

I agree it's a strange shot, but that's definitely a P229.----JazzBlackBelt-- (talk) 16:59, 25 September 2012 (EDT)
I stand corrected. It was the rail that made me think it was a P30 because I didn't think the P229's rail cuts were as deep as the P30. --cool-breeze (talk) 17:27, 25 September 2012 (EDT)

I thought they would have given Chin the new model of the P229. Guess not Bristow8411 (talk) 01:12, 28 September 2012 (EDT)

ID Firearms

Please help ID this rifle. Possibly an SR-25? --Ben41 (talk) 02:23, 5 February 2013 (EST)

I would probably class it as a mock up of a Mk 12 Mod 0 SPR. Can't really see in these shots but I seem to remember it had the PRI Gen III handguard with the large nut and an ARMS #38 SPR PEQ-2-3 rail. It also has the folding front sight. However the flash hider is wrong for a real Mk 12 as it looks to be a regular birdcage. It has a 60 round Surefire mag, a Magpul PRS stock, AN/PEQ-15 laser designator, brass catcher and a C-MORE Systems sight. I have no idea how to categorise this though, as it is sort of a mock up of a sniper rifle but is used as an assault rifle. --commando552 (talk) 05:22, 5 February 2013 (EST)

Springfield XD?

Definitely a Springfield XD Compact (not sure if that's the proper name or not), maybe a Kahr variant, and not sure. When I saw it when it aired it looked like an HK of some sort (P30 or P2000), but that trigger guard looks very Walther PPQ-ish.----JazzBlackBelt-- (talk) 23:06, 25 September 2012 (EDT)

Catherine: Definitely an XD, pretty sure a Service rather than a Compact but only about 75% sure. Basing belief on how her Inglis looked in Combat Hospital; Catherine's BUG/Doris' gun: Not sure, but doesn't look like any Kahr I've seen; Wo Fat: Walther PPQ. --Crazycrankle (talk) 00:17, 26 September 2012 (EDT)

I think that Catherine's is either an XD or a Taurus PT 24/7 --cool-breeze (talk) 10:20, 26 September 2012 (EDT)
Wo Fat's gun doesn't appear to have front serrations. I think more likely an HKP2000. Could Catherine's BUG be a SIG P224 subcompact? --Ben41 (talk) 15:02, 26 September 2012 (EDT)
I'm about 90% sure that Wo Fat's is an HKP2000- you can see a bobbed hammer in one shot and I doubt that they would have the villain carry the same gun as a protagonist.----JazzBlackBelt-- (talk) 16:28, 27 September 2012 (EDT)
SIGP224Sub.jpg
The ejection port looks too big and the slide looks shorter than the P224 to me. --cool-breeze (talk) 18:47, 26 September 2012 (EDT)
That ejection port doesn't look like the P220 series. However, that muzzle looks SIG-ish to me. Maybe a P238?----JazzBlackBelt-- (talk) 16:28, 27 September 2012 (EDT)
Could be, the front sight looks very SIG-ish to me. --cool-breeze (talk) 16:44, 27 September 2012 (EDT)

The front of Catherine's BUG does indeed look very SIG-ish. For Wo Fat I'd have to agree with the HKP2000, it looks about rightBristow8411 (talk) 01:12, 28 September 2012 (EDT)

Episode 1 corrections officer sniper

I don't think that is a Mk. 14 Mod 1 EBR, first of all there is a gap between the gas block and the front sight, and also it appears to have a regular heatshield rather than a quad rail handguard. My guess is that it is something like a Springfield M1A Scout Squad, but with a regular scope rather than something on the scout rail. --commando552 (talk) 17:49, 26 September 2012 (EDT)

Springfield Armory M1A Scout Squad - 7.62x51mm

Episode 2 AK

Anyone got any ideas for what the two AKs carried by the bank robbers at the start of S03E02 were? They are 7.62mm, have stamped receivers, DDR (or possibly Polish) folding stocks, AMD-65 lower handguards but also some kind of upper handguard, 12.4" barrels, combined gas blocks and front sights and AKS-74U type flash hiders. I doubt it is a regular production gun, closest match I can come up with is an AK-104 with a DDR stock and Hungarian lower handguard. --commando552 (talk) 17:11, 2 October 2012 (EDT)

S3E04 Promo Pic

Judging by one of the promo pics, it looks like McGarrett switches back to the E2 grips for his SIG in S3E04. We'll have to wait for the episode to see if it is a real E2 or just a regular P226 fitted with them.----JazzBlackBelt-- (talk) 18:57, 7 October 2012 (EDT)

McGarrett with his holstered SIG in S3E04.
In the latest episode his SIG seems to have the larger pre-E2 style grips again. --cool-breeze (talk) 13:41, 28 November 2012 (EST)
Interestingly, in the episode of the promo pic it was the larger grips, so I guess they used a different pistol for that picture.----JazzBlackBelt-- (talk) 17:27, 28 November 2012 (EST)

Possible ID for unknown Handgun

I think it's highly possible the Unknown Handgun is an STI Tactical 5.0 or a Perfect 10 [[1]] [[2]] Puppet.of.fate (talk) 02:11, 24 November 2012 (EST)

Got another one, but I'm not sure if it's worth documenting. Ominae (talk) 21:58, 5 December 2012 (EST)

Dano is anti-gun meaning whoever wrote the script for the episode is anti-gun

There's a lot of implications from the dialogue that character said in episode 15 of this season, mostly implying that he doesn't find guns in civilian hands to be a good thing as with his disagreement with the gun store owner. Calling him a delusional gun nut. Also saying he carries a gun out of necessity and part of the job. Excalibur01 (talk) 14:57, 5 February 2013 (EST)

EDIT: Ok, watching the REST of the episode even more. There's a lot more anti gun implications. When Steve asked for records on sales of the brass casing and ammo specifically, Dano flips out and asks why wouldn't track something that goes at lethal speeds. When the gun store owner says the classic "guns don't people" line, Dano shoots it down, saying it's a stupid sentence and said "idiots with guns kill people. no guns, no killing". Whoever wrote the script to this episode is the idiot. On top of that, he even wrote Dano to say "ask for rockets and grenade launchers" At least when the store was being shot at by the sniper, the gun store owner was written to pick up his own gun to help the cops, but of all guns in his store to grab...why an Uzi? Excalibur01 (talk) 15:06, 5 February 2013 (EST)

This ruined the entire episode for me. From Danny's rant to the way that the gun store owner was portrayed, it was clearly anti gun. I've read that the original Five-O was this way too, but honestly I don't care. If it is absolutely necessary to the plot and character development to include a political rant, then go for it. Otherwise, politics don't need to be in TV (at least in this magnitude). Even if it was a pro-gun rant, I still would be a little irked at its inclusion. It's a shame, because this was an awesome episode otherwise.

I was suprised this Episode aired as scheduled, what with the gun debate right now in the U.S. since Aurora and Newtown. Thomas (talk) 18:28, 5 February 2013 (EST)

So in episode 17 we add more to Dano's character with now him being anti-simulation situations where guys dress up like military shooting replica guns. He keeps calling them pellet guns when clearly they were simunitions Excalibur01 (talk) 01:22, 19 February 2013 (EST)

Based on the rear iron sight, a Daewoo K3? --Funkychinaman (talk) 18:11, 16 April 2013 (EDT)

HF0S3SAW1.jpg
It's a Minimi Paratrooper dressed up with SPW kit. It's not a K3; the front and rear sights and gas tube don't match up. The K3 is only seen in TV shows filmed in British Columbia and outfitted by Tom Felcan, whereas this show is filmed on-location, and the guns come from ISS. =MT2008 (talk) 16:13, 27 April 2013 (EDT)

P226 Beavertail

Any chance that the P226 Elite is actually a SIG-Sauer P226 Beavertail? Is hard to tell due to the lighting, but I think that if it had front slide serrations you would be able to see them notching the bright part of the front of the slide. --commando552 (talk) 15:27, 17 April 2013 (EDT)

Beretta M93R Auto 9

It was a nice touch adding the M93R Auto 9 into the 'Hookman' episode, [S3E15]. I loved Robocop and it was enjoyable to see Peter Weller, who played him, create an awesome storyline. --TheInsaneNutcase (talk) 12:27, 27 April 2013 (EDT)

PMAG in S03E21

I just noticed something weird in this episode. just after Chin is shot Steve moves past him firing his Noveske. I think he is actually firing blanks as you can see cases ejecting, I counted at least 5 or 6 shots whilst he is walking through the frame. However the whole time the rounds visible through the window on his PMAG do not change at all, with the mag still appearing full even after firing at least 6+ rounds. Anyone else notice this or am I seeing things? I never thought about this before, but is it a practice on TV and films to glue a piece of paper on the inside of mags with a window like this to make them appear loaded even when they are not? It would obviously be safer for shots where you want the character holding a gun that looks loaded but but is not shown firing, along with getting rid of minor continuity errors with the amount of rounds in the mag. --commando552 (talk) 05:40, 3 May 2013 (EDT)

Steve had two PMAGs linked together, so the PMAG that faced the camera wasn't actually in the rifle, just clipped to the other one.----JazzBlackBelt-- (talk) 02:15, 4 May 2013 (EDT)

Vests

Does anyone happen to know who makes the vests that the team wears? The closest I've found is a Blackhawk STRIKE Carrier, but it lacks the shoulder buckles. Maybe it's possible to add shoulder buckles to the Blackhawk?----JazzBlackBelt-- (talk) 18:44, 24 May 2013 (EDT)

These guys say it's a Blackhawk http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=131703 , but the shoulders aren't quite right. Generic copy maybe? --DeltaOne (talk) 06:05, 25 May 2013 (EDT)
Sadly, I think that they have been made for the production, based on others. The hardware is never right, and they seem to fit funny. It's a shame that most shows and moves feel the need to do this, as great gear can be purchased for less than the build cost. --Gwhysow (talk) 20:52, 1 June 2013 (EDT)
