The great American character actor of Hollywood films, Edward J. Pawley, used various types of firearms in playing bad-guy roles in most of his over-fifty Hollywood films in the '30s and early '40s.  Ironically, he never owned a gun in his personal life !  He was a mild-mannered man, but certainly not a push-over when it came to things about which he cared deeply.  His greatest weapon was his booming, baritone voice!
