I'm curious how they got those guns; those would be very rare in the 1960s (No commercial imports until the 1980s). Not even John Wayne's The Green Berets (A film which was supported by the US Department of Defense and has a scene with some captured VC weapons) had AKs.
I guess maybe someone smuggled them in from East Germany?
