Sorry if i bothered you, but it's best if the pictures have descriptions like in other articles. I play this game, but i can't get in-game screenshots because i am a "weapon skin whore" and have all my guns replaced with skins. I don't know the weapons in-game names, just the real-life ones. - Flying Dane

I'm going to start adding screenshots in a short while. It's no bother at all :)

If the Berettas are .40s, shouldn't they be called "Beretta 96G Elite II"?--141.165.143.210 23:25, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

  • they should, but the hud shows 9mm. Which indicates 92g elite II.

keep in mind that counter strike guns arent realistic, for example, the IMI galil is suposed to fire 5,56; but the skin shown is for a 7,62 one.

One Question

Do you hate FPS games when none of the enemies you killed drop ammo for you to pick up or that you can't take their weapons?? --unsigned

Yes. TVTropes has a page on that you might find interesting. --MattyDienhoff 15:10, 13 March 2010 (UTC)
What does this have to do with CS Source? Just press G to drop your weapon and pick up the fallen one, you will get ammo as well. --Devang.dn 13:02, 14 March 2011 (CDT)

You can't pick up enemy weapons in Counter Strike: Condition Zero Deleted Scenes. --Btgr (talk) 06:32, 28 April 2013 (EDT)

Inverted Weapons ? / M4 reloading animation

Hi, is it just me, or do all the weapons appear inverted for some reason (unless you switch you orientation to left handed). Is there a reason for this? Also, I haven't had much hands on experience with an M4, but why does it show the gun being cocked by the forward assist? Does that even work in real life, why not just pull the charging handle?

Valve doesn't do anything realistic about most of their guns, they aren't a valid source for information on guns since they either
a. Don't know any better
b. Too lazy to make it more realistic.
For example if Counter Strike was any realistic at all, the Desert Eagle/Night Hawk wouldn't have such a massiv amount of fans or be acknowlegded at being the best gun in the game.--194.182.87.97 23:25, 5 April 2010 (UTC)
CS was an independent third-party mod to HL. Creators of it made weapons appear in this way because:
-Thought it looked better (but they included lefty option for a reason)
-Copyright reasons (note weapon names also)
Later Valve bought the rights when they saw its huge popularity.

From what I heard the weapons were left handed b/c most of the original mod team were leftys.-Ranger01 01:10, 6 April 2010 (UTC)

To the person asking about the forward assist pulling, that error was apparently fixed when the M4 got a new set of animations for Condition Zero. The draw animation involved racking the charging handle followed by a hard tap on the forward assist. Sadly, this animation wasn't carried over into Source, where it still used Gooseman's original inaccurate animations. --HashiriyaR32 00:28, 26 May 2010 (UTC)

Menu screen

Could someone put the CAR-15 on this page, as its seen held by the CT's in the menu background?--Jaffaceksi 22:39, 7 January 2011 (UTC)

Glock 18 - Worth mentioning ?

The Glock's stats of a 20 round magazine and 3 round burst are more like the Beretta 93R than the full auto Glock 18. Can this be slipped somewhere in the article? --Devang.dn 13:05, 14 March 2011 (CDT)

M4A1

Maybe it is just me but I cannot see the rails below the carry handle. I looks pretty fixed to me, which means you know what... bozitojugg3rn4ut 07:49, 2 May 2011 (CDT)

Experimental XM1014 model?

The first-person model of the XM1014 has unusual, sticking-out, and (IMHO) ugly parts on the lower part of the reciever. So far every M4 Super 90 image and 3D model out there seems to have a nice and smooth receiver, while these parts only show up on pictures here and on this image I've managed to find. My wild guessing is that this could be the ACTUAL experimental XM1014 model, while the final model has the receiver we all love. Can somebody confirm this?
