It is not a Colt 1851 Navy revolver. The rounded barrel and size makes me think it is a Colt Dragoon. However, it could easily be a Griswold and Gunnison which is a copy made in the South during the Civil War. It differs from the actual Colt in that it used a rounded barrel and, later, a brass frame both of which served as a cost cutting feature.96.32.133.162 04:30, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
That is most definately a Griswold and Gunnison!
