In all fairness it was one horrific fight in Algiers and Algeria. The overall insurgency ran from 54-62. It almost ended with a military coup in France. And by all accounts the French military actually did a pretty good job. But like most of these wars they were defeated on the homefront. These types of conflicts are more about political willpower than winning in the field. --Jcordell 08:54, 30 September 2011 (CDT)
