Fairchild-ArmaLite

Various AR-10 models. The bottom rifle is a "Sudanese" model. The middle is a sniper variant of the "Portuguese" model with the front sight removed and a scope mount integrated into the carry handle. The top rifle is a mystery, as it appears similar to a "Sudanese" but features a front sight block taken from an AR-15 variant, the top mounted charging handle is absent and there appears to be a rear mounted cocking handle as seen on the AR-15. It is possibly a "Sudanese" rebuilt with some later model parts.

Amalite AR-10B - 7.62x51mm NATO. ArmaLite's modern update of the classic AR-10 prototype. It can be identified as an AR-10B because of the modern M16A2-style sights, bayonet lug and muzzle brake. It also tends to have olive-drab furniture. This model is semi-automatic only.
ArmaLite AR-10 A2 - 7.62x51mm NATO. The first M16 based AR-10. Fires semi-automatic. One of the well known civilian weapons, less known in the military role, much like the civilian AR-15.
ArmaLite AR-10 A2C Carbine - 7.62x51mm NATO. Carbine version of A2 model.
ArmaLite AR-10 A4 - 7.62x51mm NATO. Separated from other AR-10s by the removable carry handle and sight rails.
AR-10 SASS - 7.62x51mm NATO
ArmaLite AR-TBN - .338 Federal. .338 AR-10 A4 target rifle with heavy stainless barrel.

Discussion

Why are there so many variations on this page that have never been in a movie? --Zackmann08 12:17, 16 March 2012 (CDT)

Reading one of MPM2008's answers on the Glock talk page will answer your question. Nevertheless, the pics were added by a (former) mod. --bozitojugg3rn4ut 12:51, 16 March 2012 (CDT)
The annoying thing is, I actually knew that... Just forgot that rule. I saw a bunch of blank entries and figured I'd move um to the discussion page. Thanx for correcting me. --Zackmann08 13:11, 16 March 2012 (CDT)
No problem. Sorry if I sounded rude. I am having some private life problems right now, which were (likely) affecting my edit(s). Sorry again. --bozitojugg3rn4ut 17:52, 16 March 2012 (CDT)

No worries mate. You didnt come across rude at all! Hope things work out. --Zackmann08 18:05, 16 March 2012 (CDT)
