Supergirl (2015) is an upcoming CBS series about Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist), better known as Supergirl, a Kryptonian who was sent to earth shortly before it's destruction when she was 12 years old. On earth she is adopted by an earth family and goes by the name Kara Danvers. Kara, now in her mid twenties, must learn to embrace her powers after she has to reveal them during an unexpected disaster, setting her on her journey of heroism and self discovery.
