The following firearms seen in the film Species:

Species (1995)

Glock 19

  • A Glock 19 is seen throughout the film, in the hands of Preston Lennox (Michael Madsen) as his personal sidearm.
Glock 19 (2nd Generation) - 9x19mm
Preston Lennox (Michael Madsen) checks an apartment with his Glock 19 - 9mm
Preston Lennox (Michael Madsen) looks for more victims with his Glock 19 - 9mm
Preston Lennox (Michael Madsen) chasing Sil with his Glock 19 - 9mm
Preston Lennox (Michael Madsen) talks in the elevator with Laura Baker (Marg Helgenberger) about the imminent threat from Sil, loading his Glock 19 - 9mm

Beretta 92FS

Beretta 92FS - 9x19mm.
Xavier Fitch (Ben Kingsley) rushes to another scene of carnage, courtesy of Sil, holding his Beretta 92FS - 9mm
Preston Lennox (Michael Madsen) at the end of the film doesn't fire his Glock 19, instead holding a Beretta 92FS instead - 9mm

M16A1

US Army soldiers at the Dugway Base in Utah were armed with M16A1 rifles, as well as door gunners on the Helicopters.

M16A1 with 30 Round magazine - 5.56x45mm
In a somewhat surprising move, the filmmakers outfitted the U.S. Soldiers with M16A1 rifles - 5.56x45mm. Also the helmet covers are O.D. and not woodland and they have the Anti IR Night Camo smocks (and possibly the 6-tone Day Desert camouflage uniforms under the smocks (note the neck/collar section of the soldiers)) from Operation Desert Storm.
Soldiers run towards the perimeter with M16A1 rifles - 5.56x45mm. One would expect them to be issued M16A2 rifles.

IMI Uzi

Special Forces soldiers were seen armed with IMI Uzi submachine guns throughout the film. Also used by Dr. Laura Baker (Marg Helgenberger) in the final battle with Sil.

IMI Uzi 9x19mm
Security forces search for young Sil, wielding Uzi submachine guns - 9mm
A soldier follows Lennox into the Hollywood Hills mansion with an Uzi and a flashlight.
More Security forces hold Uzi submachine guns. Like the usage of the M16A1 earlier, it is a surprising choice, since there were many more modern Submachine guns that were available at the time of this film.
Dr. Laura Baker (Marg Helgenberger) holds an obvious rubber Uzi in this shot.

Custom flamethrower

Used by Xavier Fitch (Ben Kingsley) and Preston Lennox (Michael Madsen) in the final battle with Sil. Later, Dan Smithson (Forest Whitaker) picks up Fitch's flamethrower and uses it for the rest of the film.

Xavier Fitch (Ben Kingsley) readies his custom flamethrower unit for the tunnel chase.
Dan Smithson (Forest Whitaker) and Preston Lennox (Michael Madsen) look for Sil in the tunnels with their flamethrowers, while Dr. Laura Baker (Marg Helgenberger) looks on.
Dan Smithson (Forest Whitaker) readies to fire his flamethrower at Sils' offspring.
Preston Lennox (Michael Madsen) aims his flamethrower at Sil.

Rocket tubes

Multiple Rocket tubes were mounted to the exterior of the Bell Jet Ranger Helicopters.

The Bell Jet Ranger Helicopters in the film are outfitted with multiple rocket launcher tubes on either side.

Flare gun

And Unknown model of flare gun is used to signal Sils' escape from the military facility.

A U.S. Soldier fires an unknown make and model of Flare gun. This is not a traditional pistol design, but looks more like a boat flare, where it is a mere tube and a cord is pulled to expel the flare. In addition this picture gives a better look at the uniforms the soldiers are wearing with the Night Desert Camouglage parka (and a possible "choc-chip desert camouflage jacket under the parka) being made obvious to the audience.

It kinda looks like a Heckler & Koch P11

Cobray CM79LF 37mm Launcher

A Cobray CM79LF 37mm Launcher is used by Preston Lennox (Michael Madsen) to shoot Sil (Natasha Henstridge) in the head during the final battle.

Cobray M79LF stand alone launcher (other side) - 37mm)
Preston Lennox (Michael Madsen) carries a CM79LF Launcher slung to his back - 37mm.
Preston Lennox (Michael Madsen) reloads a long round into the CM79LF Launcher - 37mm. This launcher is the long barreled variant.
