Sonic the Hedgehog is a 2020 live-action/CGI adaptation of Sega Corporation's long running Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. Set in the fictional Green Hills, Montana; the story follows the titular alien blue hedgehog (voiced by Ben Schwartz) as he teams up with local sheriff, Thomas Michael Wachowski (James Marsden) to retrieve his lost magic rings, in order to escape forces that are constantly hunting the former down for his super-speed powers. Meanwhile, Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey); a narcissistic, evil genius is hired by the US Department of Defense to track the source of a power outage inadvertently caused by Sonic and is hell bent on capturing him at all costs.

Initially set to release in late 2019, the first online reactions to Sonic's realistic, yet "uncanny-valley" CGI design were overwhelmingly negative, to the point where the film was delayed in order to overhaul his design, that was thankfully met with better reception in early 2020.

It was followed by a sequel in 2022, Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

The following weapons are featured in the film Sonic the Hedgehog:

Handguns

SIG-Sauer P226

The SIG-Sauer P226 is seen as the standard-issue sidearm of the fictional Green Hills County Sheriff officers. Deputy Wade (Adam Pally) is seen using his P226 in one scene.
