- David Lynch as FBI Supervisory Special Agent Gordon Cole reinstates Dale Cooper played by Kyle MacLaughlan as an FBI agent by handing him the Bureau's new 10mm sidearm in Episode 25 of "Twin Peaks." The FBI used the new sidearms in the early 90's before it encountered field problems and was replaced.
While the prop is referred to as a 1076 in the scene, it appears to be a S&W Model 4506 given the barrel length and the slide mounted decocking/safety lever. It is possible that the prop is a 1006 (same size and shape as the 4506) but given that other 10mm props were rechambered to .45 blanks, this seems less likely.
