Smith & Wesson Model 29

A Smith & Wesson Model 29 44 magnum revolver with a 6.5" barrel is used with very impressive results by the drug dealer Murray Boots (Lamar Jackson) at the beginning of the movie when Sharky (Burt Reynolds) is attempting to buy heroin from him during an undercover operation. Another officer drives up onto the buy and the whole operation goes to hell. There then ensues a pursuit through Atlanta.It ends with Boots taking a hostage and attempting to use a transit bus to escape. Of course he fails.

Smith & Wesson Model 29.

Boots (Lamar Jackson) blows the engine hood of a detective car. Doubtful that even the powerful 44 magnum could do such a thing, but it's good showmanship.
