Shaft is a 2000 action film starring Samuel L. Jackson as John Shaft II, an NYPD detective that happens to be the nephew of John Shaft (Richard Roundtree) of the original 1971 film. The film was directed by John Singleton (Boyz n the Hood) and co-stars Vanessa Williams, Jeffrey Wright, and Christian Bale. Both Jackson and Roundtree would return for the 2019 sequel.

The following weapons were used in the film Shaft (2000):

Pistols

Glock 17

Several NYPD detectives are seen carrying the Glock 17 as their sidearms including Det. Roselli (Dan Hedaya) and Det. Groves (Ruben Santiago-Hudson).

Glock 19

Detective John Shaft (Samuel L. Jackson) carries a Glock 19 as his onduty handgun. Note that the Glock 19 used in the movie is a 3rd Generation model; while the Glock 19 had appeared in numerous previous films and television series before Shaft, this appears to be the first movie to feature the 3rd Generation model, which had only been introduced the year before this film went into production (1999).

Kahr K9

When he is relieved of his sidearm, Shaft switches to his backup gun, a stainless steel Kahr K9 for the rest of the film. The Kahr K9's use in the film is confirmed by the Kahr website [1].

Non-Gun

A pocket pistol Non Gun is pulled on Walter Wade, Jr. (Christian Bale) before the trial. It's a non-descript pocket pistol flashpaper gun. It is used to imitate a variety of pocket pistols, although it shares no real similarities to any.
