S.W.A.T. is the 2017 television series revival of the SWAT franchise, which includes the original 1975 television series and the 2003 feature film adaptation. Shemar Moore stars in the series as Sgt. Daniel "Hondo" Harrelson, the new leader of his Special Weapons And Tactics unit who must deal with breaking in a new SWAT officer as well as the relations between the public and police department. The series, which is being co-executive produced by Shawn Ryan (The Shield and The Unit), premiered in November of 2017 in the US on CBS.
