Rolan Antonovich Bykov (November 12, 1929, Kiev – October 6, 1998, Moscow) was a Soviet and Russian actor, film director and script writer. He played in many movies among which are well-known Andrei Rublev, Aybolit-66, Commissar, Two Comrades Were Serving (Sluzhili dva tovarishcha), The Adventures of Buratino (Priklucheniya Buratino), The Twelve Chairs (Dvenadtsad stulyev) and others. Rolan Bykov died of cancer in 1998, aged 68.
