Robert Montgomery was an American actor and director, who was also the father of Bewitched star Elizabeth Montgomery. He served two separate terms as the president of the Screen Actor's Guild, one prior to World War II and one after, and during the war commanded a PT boat, leaving the navy a Lieutenant Commander.
