The Property of Republic (Dostoyanie respubliki) is a 1971 Russian adventure movie directed by Vladimir Bychkov and starring Oleg Tabakov as Makar and Andrey Mironov as Markiz. The story takes place during the Russian Civil War, following several men searching for extremely valuable lost artwork.

Revolvers

Nagant M1895

Nagant M1895 revolvers are seen in the hands of many characters, including Makar (Oleg Tabakov), Markiz (Andrey Mironov), Tarakanov (Spartak Mishulin), and Lagutin (Igor Kvasha).

Markiz fires a Nagant at the circus. His revolver switches to a Smith & Wesson No.3 Russian Model a moment later.

Makar is under siege in a wagon. Note the unusual position of the ramrod (the same defect, common to old Nagants, can be seen in Déjà Vu (1988) and several other movies).

Smith & Wesson Russian Model

The Smith & Wesson Russian Model Pattern II revolver is used by Markiz (Andrey Mironov) and Makar (Oleg Tabakov) when they both show outstanding marksmanship at a circus. Later, S&W revolvers are used by several of Lagutin's men.

Pistols

Mauser C96

The Mauser C96 is the weapon of Red Army commissar Petrovykh (Sergei Plotnikov). Makar (Oleg Tabakov) carries a holstered Mauser in several scenes.

Percussion Dueling Pistol

Markiz (Andrey Mironov) shows his outstanding marksmanship for the first time with a percussion lock pistol. He identifies this weapon as a Belgian-made pistol from the early 19th century (which would make it a flintlock rather than a caplock pistol). This long-barreled pistol looks like it is one half of a pair of dueling weapons.

Mosin Nagant Rifle

Mosin Nagant rifles are used by Red Army soldiers and Lagutin's brigands.

Sawn-off M1891/30 rifles, known as an "obrez", are used by many of Lagutin's brigands.

Maxim M1910

Maxim M1910 MGs are seen in the final scene of the movie.
