It was filmed on location in Fort Worth, Texas at what is now the La Gran Plaza.

The following weapons appear in the film Point Blank:

Submachine Guns

Heckler & Koch MP5A3

Many of the henchmen use MP5A3 submachine guns. The FBI SWAT team also carries them. Rudy Ray takes an MP5 off of a dead henchman and uses it for part of the film.

Rudy Ray takes the time to get into a sitting position, extend the stock, adjust the sights, and use the sling to snipe a henchman a few yards away. Doesn't he know that he can get a headshot shooting from the hip?

Heckler & Koch SP89

Some henchmen use Heckler & Koch SP89s.

Some henchmen also use Heckler & Koch MP5K-PDWs. The FBI SWAT team also uses them. Rudy Ray uses one for part of the film, with optics and a suppressor.

Rifles

CAR-15

A henchman opens fire on the prison bus with a CAR-15.

The flash hider is a smaller diameter copy of the XM-177 and has no sound suppression qualities and is permanently welded onto the barrel to make it legal length for over the counter gun store sales.

The film is full of crazy angles like this.

Sonny (Michael Wright) carries a Colt AR-15 Sporter Carbine during the initial attack on the mall.

Colt Model 733

Rudy Ray carries a Colt Model 733 when he gets to the mall. The flash suppressor is missing, and he later screws on a suppressor in its place.

Colt Model 733 "M16A2 Commando" - 5.56x45mm. Note, the Model 733 does not appear to have a set specification from Colt, and could be found with either an A1, A1E1 or A2 upper receiver, A1 or A2 lower receiver, and a coated aluminum or fiberlite stock. This particular rifle has an A2 lower, an A1E1 upper (forward assist and case deflector with A1 sights as found on Canadian Colts), and a coated aluminum stock.
As you can see the flash suppressor is missing.

Heckler & Koch SR9(T)

Billy is given a Heckler & Koch SR9(T). It has that slim longer 'sporting style' handguard that HK imported into the US for only a few months. He only fires it once despite carrying it for most of the film.
