Nineteen Eighty-Four
Nineteen Eighty-Four is the 1984 feature adaptation of George Orwell's dystopian novel of the same name directed by Michael Radford and starring John Hurt, Richard Burton, and Suzanna Hamilton. The film marked the final role for veteran actor Burton, who died before the premiere and the film was dedicated in his memory.
The firearms used were of World War II vintage in keeping with George Orwell's original novel by the filmmakers. In Orwell's novel, the weapons technology used by the forces of Oceania, Eurasia, and Eastasia were the same weapons the Allied and the Axis forces used during World War II in order to continue the "Perpetual War" between the three global powers by keeping people busy, wasting resources for the wars, and keeping old and outdated machines and technology in service. It appears that Oceania exclusively uses British WWII weapons (due to the British controlling Oceania) while Eurasia uses Soviet WWII weapons (due to the Russians controlling Eurasia).

Oceanian soldiers have Lee-Enfield No. 5 Mk I "Jungle Carbines" slung over their shoulders.
Mosin-Nagant 91/30
Eurasian troops are seen using Mosin-Nagant 91/30 rifles. All the shots are from World War II stock footage.
Submachine Guns
PPSh-41 submachine gun
Seen in the hands of Eurasian soldiers in the Two Minutes Hate propaganda film. The PPSh-41s were seen with 71-round drum magazines.
Lanchester Mk.I submachine gun
Lanchester Mk.I submachine guns are seen in the hands of an Oceanian soldier in shooting a number of Eurasian POWs in Victory Square.

A Swiss G-13 Hetzer destroyer is seen in the announcements and during a montage.
