Next of Kin is a 1989 action thriller starring Patrick Swayze as a Chicago police officer whose Appalachian roots are brought forth when one of his brothers is killed by a member of the Mob. He then finds that his other brother has come to the city in order to find the killer. The film's cast includes Liam Neeson, Adam Baldwin, Bill Paxton, Ben Stiller, and Helen Hunt.

Handguns
Beretta 92F (Nickel)
Truman Gates (Patrick Swayze) carries a Beretta 92F in a nickel finish in his left holster throughout the film. As this film was released in 1989, a year prior to the Beretta 92FS Inox being released, this Beretta was most likely either a standard Beretta 92F that was refinished by a gunsmith or a replica pistol.
Colt Commander
A Colt Commander is seen in the hands of a mob hitman sent to the apartment where Briar Gates (Liam Neeson) was staying.
Desert Eagle Mark I
Joey Rosellini (Adam Baldwin) is seen using a Desert Eagle with a two-tone slide during a confrontation with Truman's brother (Bill Paxton). He also uses this gun during the shootout at the Lake Michigan Vending Company.
Smith & Wesson Model 19
Truman also carries a snub Smith & Wesson Model 19 in a hip holster. Briar is also seen using it when Harold (Michael J. Pollard) comes to his door.
Smith & Wesson Model 60
A mob soldier holds a Smith & Wesson Model 60 on one of Gates' relatives.
Smith & Wesson Model 686
John Isabella (Andreas Katsulas) threatens Truman with a Smith & Wesson Model 686.

Armsel Protecta
An Armsel Protecta is used by Joey in the cemetery shootout.
12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotguns
12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotguns are seen in the hands of several characters including mob soldiers, a bartender as well as Gates' relatives.
Mossberg 500 Cruiser
A Mossberg 500 Cruiser with a shortened barrel is seen used by Briar Gates (Liam Neeson).
Remington 870
A Remington 870 is found in Briar's hidden stash of weapons.
Submachine Guns
SWD M11/9
One of Joey's men is seen with the SWD M11/9 during the shootout at the Lake Michigan Vending Company. Leo and Paulie are also armed with suppressed SWD M11/9 machine pistols fitted with flashlights under the barrel during the shootout in the cemetery.
