Nice, but where's the trigger?

My Name Is Bruce (2007)

My Name Is Bruce is an independent horror comedy that satirizes the career of B-Movie actor Bruce Campbell of The Evil Dead fame. In the film, a desperate town hires the actor to be their monster hunter, as an ancient Chinese Demon wreaks havoc on their lives. Bruce Campbell (portraying a version of himself) agrees, thinking it is some sort of movie or PR gig. Little does he realize that he is really being hired to fight a real monster. In order to maximize the film's budget, Campbell produced and directed the feature on and around his own property in Oregon.

This movie premiered at the Ashland Film Festival in 2007, however, it had problems getting a release date in the United States for a long time. Despite having had many 'premiere showings' across the country (one in San Francisco as late as Dec 2008), as January 2009, the DVD rights have only been sold in the European territories. Finally the American DVD was released (with neither fanfare nor advertising) to U.S. DVD market in February 2009.

The following weapons were used in the film My Name Is Bruce:

Pistol

AMT Hardballer Longslide

Bruce Campbell (portraying himself) uses an AMT Hardballer to great effect during the first assault on the monster (never removing the sales tag from the gun).

AMT Hardballer Longslide .45 ACP
Bruce Campbell wields an AMT Hardballer Longslide M1911 (it even has the sales tag on the gun identifying the make and model) - 45 ACP. Unfortunately, he is seen showing bad gun safety as he talks, something which bothers the town's mayor (to the left). In this scene, he refers to his weapon as a "31 Longbow" prompting the gunstore owner to whisper "It's a .45 long slide!"

Shotguns

Parker Double Barreled Shotgun

A 12 Gauge Double Barrelled Shotgun is displayed by the town's gunshop owner and checked out by Bruce Campbell. The shotgun eventually ends up in the hands of another townsperson.

J.C. Higgins Model 20 Shotgun

A J.C. Higgins Model 20 Shotgun is seen in a gun display behind Frank. From a production design standpoint, this has to be one of the most 'low rent' representations of a 'gun store' I've seen. The Long guns are just propped up against the wall in cubby holes with no racks to hold them in place.

J.C. Higgins Model 20 - 12 gauge
Frank the Gun Shop owner prepares the Stevens Side by Side exposed Hammer shotgun to hand to Bruce Campbell. Behind him are a J.C. Higgins Model 20 Shotgun, a milled receiver AK47 and an M14 (probably an M1A semi auto rifle)

AK-47 (Milled receiver)

What appears to be an AK rifle is seen on the wall of the gunstore. It could be a Poly Technologies Legend or one of the recent U.S. made receiver built up guns.

What appears to be an M14 or clone is seen on the wall of the gunstore.

Marlin Model 336C Lever Action Rifle

Bruce uses (or tries to use) a Marlin Model 336C Lever Action rifle, but has difficulties.

Marlin Model 336C - .30-30
Bruce tries to shoot his Marlin 336C rifle, but it doesn't function - .30-30 caliber
Of course, the reason Bruce's Marlin 336C rifle doesn't fire is that he still has the safety on - .30-30 caliber

Frank's Gun Store

Frank's Gunshop has several rifles and shotguns, but also several handguns seen in the glass case of the gunstore where the town holds an impromptu meeting. The makes and models can't be determined from this shot. The four that is the most focused are, from left to right, a stainless commander sized 1911 with pearl grips, a ruger sp101, second gen fullsized glock, and a s&w revolver.

A variety of Handguns can be seen in the glass case behind Bruce Campbell.
