Monster is a 2003 movie based on the life of Aileen Wournos - a real life female serial killer convicted of murdering seven men when she worked as prostitute between 1989 and 1990.
Smith & Wesson 686
Aileen Wournos (Charlize Theron) uses a very battered Smith & Wesson 686 revolver in the movie. However, the real Aileen Wournos used a High-Standard Double Nine, a .22 double action revolver.
