As like as in previous series, Dr. Watson (Edward Hardwicke) carries a Webley .455 Mk VI, not fitting for the depicted period.

Rifles

Mosin Nagant M1891

A flashback scene in "The Golden Pince-Nez" (S01E03) shows the events, set in Russia about twenty year prior the events of the episode. Russian soldiers or police (their uniform is absolutely fictional) carry Mosin Nagant M1891 rifles while dispersing the workers' demonstration in Sankt-Peterburg. Most rifles are of Infanrty model, some original M91s and some in 1910 modification. The scene turns out to be set in 1880s, so M1891 rifles doesn't fit for that time.

A soldier breaks the door with the buttstock of his rifle. The rifle sling is attached in holes in the stock, so this rifle is of 1910 modification.

The typical magazine is seen.
