Sasaki opens fire. Unlike many other instances in the film which use CGI muzzle flashes, this M1911A1 appears to be actually firing.

Chen Zhen (Donnie Yen) discovers an FN Model 1905 in Kiki's (Shu Qi) purse when she drops it. He picks it up and hands it to her, and she drunkenly points it at him.

Arisaka Type 38
Arisaka Type 38 are seen in the hands of Japanese troops, Chinese resistance fighters, and Shanghai police. They are also used by French and German troops in France, as it appears the stunt coordinators only had rubber Arisaka stunt rifles available.
