L.A. Takedown (1989).

L.A. Takedown is a 1989 television crime film written and directed by Michael Mann that was intended to be a pilot for a weekly television series. Instead, Mann would later remake this film as 1995's Heat.

Handguns

SIG-Sauer P226

Det. Vincent Hanna (Scott Plank) uses a nickel SIG-Sauer P226 as his sidearm throughout the movie.

A nickel SIG-Sauer P226 pistol chambered in 9x19mm. This is another real movie gun and has been adapted to fire full flash motion picture blanks.

Remington 870 Field Gun

Waingro (Xander Berkeley) uses a Remington 870 Field Shotgun with a sawed off barrel when confronted in his hotel room. Actor Xander Berkeley would later have a small role in the feature film remake Heat.

Remington 870 Field Gun - 12 gauge. This is the current production model, with matte finish and laminate wood furniture. The 870 used in the show is the 1970s variant with rich factory blued finish and walnut stocks.

The Heckler & Koch MP5K is the main weapon used by the robbery crew including Patrick McLaren (Alex McArthur), Chris Sheherlis (Peter Dobson), and Michael Cherrito (Vincent Guastaferro) during the Wilshire Blvd. shootout.
