Kill Me Gently
|
Kill Me Gently (original title Kommissar X – Drei grüne Hunde ("Commissioner X - Three Green Dogs"); other English release title Death Trip) is a 1967 international production Eurospy film directed by Rudolf Zehetgruber. It is the fourth in Kommissar X franchise, series of seven films about the adventures of private investigator Jo Louis Walker (Tony Kendall), also known as "Commissioner X", and his friend, New York police captain Tom Rowland (Brad Harris). In this movie Walker and Rowland struggle against LSD dealer organisation in Istanbul, known as "The Green Dogs".
The following weapons were used in the film Kill Me Gently:
Revolvers
Arminius HW-1
As in other movies, Jo Walker's (Tony Kendall) personal firearm is an Arminius HW-1 blank firing revolver. HW-1 revolvers are also seen in hands of Allan Hood (Dietmar Schönherr), Eddie Shapiro (Herbert Fux), Khemal (Samson Burke), Joyce Sellers (Sabine Sun), Turkish police Inspector Rebat (Emilio Carrer) and The Green Dogs gang thugs.

Nagant M1895
What appears to be a short-barreled Nagant M1895 is used by Jo Walker (Tony Kendall) instead of his Arminius revolver in the scene in Leyla Kessler's house. The revolver seems to lack the front sight, and together with the fact that it is immersed in soapy water this may mean that this gun is some kind of non-firing replica.
Pistols
FN Model 1900
Several characters, including Allan Hood (Dietmar Schönherr) and Eddie Shapiro (Herbert Fux), carry FN Model 1900 pistols.

Browning Hi-Power
In one scene a thug holds a pistol that is supposed to be a Browning Hi-Power.
Flintlock Pistol
Various Flintlock Pistols are used as decorations in Istanbul bar in the opening scene and in the office of Turkish army general.
Submachine Guns
Rexim Favor
At least one of mounted Turkish soldiers carries what appears to be a Rexim Favor SMG with removed buttstock. Turkish army was the only one to use Rexim Favors.
Rifles
M1893 Turkish Mauser
During the climactic conflict in Valley of a Thousand Hills numerous M1893 Turkish Mauser rifles are used by local brigands and Turkish soldiers. These rifles are most likely modified M1893/33 in 7.9x57mm caliber.
Shotguns & Muskets
Single Barreled Shotgun
Almann (a cameo of film director Rudolf Zehetgruber, credited as Rolf Zehett) owns a Single Barreled Shotgun that he uses in several scenes. Later Almann's gun is seen in hands of Jo Walker (Tony Kendall) and Tom Rowland (Brad Harris). Same looking guns are used by brigands and soldiers during the climactic shootout in Valley of a Thousand Hills.
Jezail Musket
Various oriental flintlock muskets are used as decorations in Istanbul bar in the opening scene.

Other Weapons
Hand Grenade
In the final scene Turkish soldiers use nondescript hand grenades against brigands.
