The Joslyn rifle is a single-shot breech-loading rifle famous for its usage during the American Civil War an the Franco-Prussian War. The Joslyn Rifle had a difficult adoption prior to the American Civil War, the Joslyn Firearm Company being criticised for the quality of its manufacture. It was made by the Joslyn Firearms Company and Springfield Armory.
