Jon Polito (1950–2016) was an American character actor who was frequently cast in films directed by the Coen Brothers, including Miller's Crossing, Barton Fink, and The Hudsucker Proxy. In his 35 year career, he often portrayed gangsters or law enforcement officers in such films as American Gangster, Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins, and The Rocketeer and such television series as The Equalizer, Miami Vice, Crime Story, and NCIS.
