Jess Hahn (real name is Hahn Jesse Beryle) is a leading American naturalized French, born 29 October 1921 at Terre Haute in Indiana, USA. He spent most of his career in France. It shows during the World War II fighting in the U.S. Army. He participated in landings in Normandy. In 1949 he returned to live permanently in France. After attempting a music career, he became an actor. Large and robust, it specializes in supporting roles, usually of American characters, often as henchman, gangster, military ... Seen and alongside Jean-Paul Belmondo in Cartouche (1962), again with Belmondo then reunited in the film Up to His Ears (Les tribulations d'un Chinois en Chine) (1965).
