JAG - Season 9 (2003-2004)

The following weapons were used in Season 9 of the television series JAG:

Handguns

Beretta 92FS

While in reality the Beretta M9 is the standard issue sidearm for US military, the Beretta 92FS is the weapon seen used in the series by the US military personnel. US Marines are seen armed with the pistol notably in "Coming Home" (S9E22).

92FS; Chambered in 9x19mm. Used in JAG as the standard issue firearm of the US Military.

SIG-Sauer P220R (stainless)

A stainless SIG-Sauer P220R is used by Rabb (David James Elliott) in "A Tangled Webb, Part II" (S9E01). JAG is quite possibly the first television series to feature a rail-frame SIG pistol.

Rifles

AK Variants

Kalashnikov and Norinco Rifles have been seen during the show's ten seasons. In the episodes set in Russia, Chechnya, Cuba, Iraq, China, etc, as well as flashbacks to the Korean War, Vietnam, and the Cold War, many varieties of Kalashnikov rifles have been seen, as well as the Chinese manufactured Norinco rifles. Unlike most movies and television shows JAG was usually pretty accurate about having the right rifle type for the locations. Insurgents are seen armed with the rifle notably in "Coming Home" (S9E21).

Final Production version of the III AK - 7.62x39mm

M4A1 Carbine

The M4 Carbine is seen being used by Marines notably in "The One That Got Away" (S9E04) and "The Boast" (S9E09).

M4A1 Rifle - 5.56x45mm.
Force Recon Marines are armed with M4A1's in "The One That Got Away" (S9E04).

M16A1 (with A2 handguards)

Various styles of the M16 rifle series appeared in JAG during the show's long run. M16A1s with A2 hand guards were frequently used to simulate M16A2s. These guns make sense in JAG, because the military does use a lot of "Frankenstein" M16s. The Air Force being the worst offender, but they can be found in service with all branches.

M16A1 with A2 style handguards - 5.56x45mm. Putting the distinctive A2 handguards on the older rifle was a method used by Movie/TV armorers to simulate A2 rifles when M16A1s were the only ones available. The same thing has been done vice-versa, Using M16A2's with A1 handguards for Vietnam War "B"-movies.

Submachine Guns

Heckler & Koch MP5SD3

Navy SEALs are armed with the Heckler & Koch MP5SD3 while boarding a ship in "Trojan Horse" (S9E22).

Machine Guns

M249 SAW

The M249 SAW is used by Marines in "Coming Home" (S9E21).

M60 machine gun

An M60 is seen mounted on a humvee in Iraq in "Shifting Sands" (S9E02). Another one is seen being used during Marine training in "Trojan Horse" (S9E22).
