Investigation Held by ZnaToKi (Sledstvie vedut ZnaToKi) is a cult Soviet detective TV series, released in 1970s-1980s (last two episodes were released after a long break in 2002) and based on stories and characters by Olga and Aleksandr Lavrovs. The main characters of the series are three detectives of Moscow Militsiya: investigator Maj. (later Lt.Col. and Col.) Pavel Pavlovich ("Pal Palych") Znamenskiy (Georgiy Martynyuk), operative Capt. (later Maj., Lt.Col. and Col.) Aleksandr Nikolaevich ("Shurik") Tomin (Leonid Kanevskiy) and forensic expert Capt. (later Maj.) Zinaida Yanovna ("Zinochka") Kibrit (Elza Lezhdey). The acronym of the first letters of the names of the main characters makes the title "ZnaToKi" (Znamenskiy-Tomin-Kibrit) that in turn corresponds the Russian word "znatoki" that means "experts". Last two episodes were filmed when the actress Elza Lezhdey had passed away, so the character of Zinaida Kibrit was replaced with expert Kitaeva (Lydia Velezheva).
The trio mostly deals with non-violent crimes, like thefts, fraud, counterfeiting and illegal gold trade, so firearms relatively rare are seen in the series.

Pistols
Makarov PM
Makarov PM pistols are service sidearms for the Soviet Militsiya. PMs are seen in several episodes, carried by Znamenskiy, Tomin, other Militiya personnel, and some criminals.

Tokarev TT-33
A TT-33 is a plot item in "Case No.13. Before The Third Gunshot" (1978): a criminal hides his TT after a robbery, and later a group of teenagers finds the gun. TTs are also seen in hands of criminals in "Case No.22. Mafia" (1989).

In "Case No.13. Before The Third Gunshot" an M1911 is seen on the table of Zinaida Kibrit. The pistol is identified as "American Colt, caliber 11.43".

Luger P08 Artillery
A Luger P08 Artillery is seen in hands of members of Mordvinovs family gang and Koval's henchmen in "Case No.22. Mafia" (1989). The pistol lacks the adjustable sight and is fitted with a fake sound suppressor.

Mockup/Toy Pistol
A mockup pocket pistol (possibly a lighter pistol) is seen in "Case No.6. Blackmail" (1972). Znamenskiy identifies the pistol as "Belgian Brownig".

Rifles
Mosin Nagant "obrez"
Several Mosin Nagant "obrez" sawed-off rifles are confiscated from Mordvinov's gang in "Case No.22. Mafia".
Sawn-off Mosin Nagant M1891/30 - 7.62x54mm R. In Russian, such a weapon is called "
obrez" which means "cut". It was mostly used by criminals and rebels.
