In the Shadow (Czech original: Ve stínu) is 2012 coproduction crime drama directed by David Ondrícek. The story is set in Czechoslovakia during the two weeks before the currency reform in the spring of 1953. Starring Ivan Trojan and Sebastian Koch.



The following weapons are featured in the film In the Shadow:

CZ 52

Police (SNB) officers use a CZ 52 as their sidearm.

Czech CZ 52 - 7.62x25mm Tokarev.
Kpt. Hakl (Ivan Trojan) pulled his CZ 52 pistol from his breast pocket.
This same type of gun was used also by the murderer.
Por. Beno (David Svehlík) (right) aims his gun at the suspect person.
A ballistician investigates the bullet. It fits into the CZ 52 pistol.

CZ 27

Some characters in movie are seen with a CZ 27 pistol.

CZ 27 - .32 ACP
The robber Foll (Tomás Bambusek) who attacked the post office, holds a CZ 27.
A guardian of shipments captured this pistol, when disarmed the robber.
Kpt. Hakl (Ivan Trojan) picks up a gun, who lay next to the dead guardian.
In the ballistics lab is seen on the table several CZ 27 pistols.

MP38

Safe-breaker Janata (Norbert Lichý) was equipped with a MP38 submachine gun. His weapon uses also a killer.

The Border Guard are armed with Sa Vz. 24 submachine guns.
