Submachine Guns

Heckler & Koch HK94A2 (Chopped and Converted)

BATF agents are largely armed with Heckler & Koch HK94A2s modified to resemble MP5A2s during the raid on the Branch Davidian compound. The weapons have had their 16-inch barrels chopped and are equipped with Surefire forends and double clamped magazines.

The "Fake MP5", the Heckler & Koch HK94A2 Converted to full auto fire, shortened barrel and added third firing position on trigger pack - 9x19mm. This version was used in many films during the 1980s and 1990s.
Special Agent Robert Williams wielding a HK94A2 during a practice run for the raid. The lack of barrel lugs and the paddle magazine release, as well as a different trigger pack, differentiate this weapon from an actual MP5A2.

An interesting note is that all of the ATF agents are firing their HK94A2s in semi automatic- possibly because the guns were not converted to automatic fire.

Rifles

M16 (SP1)

M16 (SP1) rifles with M16A1 birdcage flash hiders are seized by BATF agents after they arrest a New Orleans weapons dealer. Branch Davidian Jason (Neal McDonough) is also armed with a M16 (SP1) with a 30 round magazine during the BATF raid on Mount Carmel.

M16A2

Koresh is shown modifying a M16A2 with a hellfire trigger to increase its rate of fire. Later, Jason patrols Mount Carmel's perimeter with a Starlight scope-equipped M16A2. Koresh also has a M16A2 slung over his shoulder when he watches the ATF units approach the compound. Other Branch Davidians also are shown with M16A2s during the gun battle with the ATF agents.

Colt CAR-15

CAR-15 carbines are seen on the gun racks at a gun store and in the weapons room of Mount Carmel.

The flash hider is a smaller diameter copy of the XM-177 and has no sound suppression qualities and is permanently welded onto the barrel to make it legal length for over the counter gun store sales.

Norinco Type 56

A number of Branch Davidians use Norinco Type 56 rifles, both during shooting practice and during the raid.

Ruger Mini-14

Ruger Mini-14 rifles are used by many Branch Davidians during the ATF raid, and a gunman uses a Mini-14 to fatally wound Special Agents Conway LeBleu (Glenn Morshower) and Robert Williams (Lewis Smith).

A Barrett M82A1 sniper rifle is shown among the weapons in the Branch Davidian arsenal. Unlike the real incident where it was alleged that the M82 was used against federal agents, it is not fired in the movie.
