The Hunter is the 1980 action film that marked the final film role for Steve McQueen. The film dramatized the real life exploits of bounty hunter Ralph Thorson.

When Thorson goes to the sheriff's office, Sheriff Strong (Ben Johnson) pulls a Colt New Service revolver with custom grips in order to warn off the bounty hunter.
Ithaca 37
An Ithaca 37 shotgun with an extended mag tube is seen in Thorson's trunk when he goes to apprehend a bail jumper. Los Angeles police also are seen handling a 3-shot Ithaca.
Stun Gun
Thorson is seen using a stun launcher that fires bean bags to subdue the bail jumper.
Winchester Model 70
A Los Angeles police sniper uses a Winchester Model 70 rifle.
Smith & Wesson Model 36
Det. Spota (Richard Venture) is seen waving around his Smith & Wesson Model 36 when Thorson finds him at his home drunk.
