The Hunter (1980)

The Hunter is the 1980 action film that marked the final film role for Steve McQueen. The film dramatized the real life exploits of bounty hunter Ralph Thorsen.

Thorsen is seen using a stun launcher that fires bean bags to subdue the bail jumper.

A Los Angeles police sniper uses a Winchester Model 70 rifle.

Smith & Wesson Model 36

Det. Spota (Richard Venture) is seen waving around his Smith & Wesson Model 36 when Thorsen finds him at his home drunk.

Remington 870

In Chicago, Thorsen finds out that Bernando (Thomas Rosales Jr.), the bail jumper he's after, has a Remington 870 shotgun on his couch.

Walther P38

Bernando holds a young girl hostage with a Walther P38 while confronting Thorsen on the elevated train.

M16A1

In the climax of the film, Rocco Mason (Tracey Walter) uses an M16A1 fitted with a night scope to hold Thorsen's wife hostage. SWAT members are also seen with the M16A1.
