House of Saddam is the 2008 four part drama detailing the rise and fall of Iraq's most infamous president, Saddam Hussein. Currently shown on BBC Four and BBC iPlayer services. If you plan on watching the series, please be aware that there may be spoilers in the descriptions. Read at your own risk.

Walther/Manurhin PPK

Saddam aims the gun at Adnan before killing him. If you look closely, you can see a 'Made in France' marking probably making it a Manurhin Walther.

In the first episode, the first gun that is clearly seen is a Walther PPK, although with markings along the slide which indicate it may have been made by the French outfit Manurhin under license from Walther.

The gun is used to preform 'executions' of 22 members of the Ba'ath party members and used by Saddam Personally to kill his best friend and ally Adnan Hamdani.

M1 Garand

While hunting in Tikrit, both Saddam and his son Uday use an M1 Garand.

A young Uday Hussein Aims the rifle at a wild rabbit.

Beretta M92FS-C Inox

Now a slightly older Uday loses control of himself in a Baghdad nightclub shortly after Iraq's 'victory' over Iran.

Uday and his idea of a night out in Baghdad.

The gun appears to be, at first, a Beretta M92FS Inox. However, the gun features a slightly shorter barrel than the FS, aswell as having a shorter profile overall.

Colt M1911A1

The gun is seen first at a gun range which is used by Saddam and his military advisers. It is then used by Saddam in threatening Uday in the prison cell after Uday kills Kamel Hana.

Saddam's M1911A1 Colt ready to be fired at the range.

AKM's & AK-47

Variants of the AK-47 assault rifle are used many times throughout the series. They are also mentioned on the attempted assassination of Saddam Hussein. Many of Saddam's men and infantry carry AK-47s or AKMs.

Saddam's men hold AK-47's ready when he confronts the crowd just after his failed assassination.
