Hotchkiss Mle 1909

The Mle 1909 machine gun was developed and built by Hotchkiss et Cie. and adopted in 1909 by the French army firing the 8 mm Lebel. It was also known as Hotchkiss Portative ("portable Hotchkiss") because of its lesser weight in comparison with heavy machine guns.
