High Plains Drifter (1973)

Single Action Army

The Stranger (Clint Eastwood) carries a 7 1/2" Cavalary Single Action Army as his sidearm in the film. Many other characters carry 5" Artillery models, such as Stacey Bridges (Geoffrey Lewis) and his gang. Mordecai (Billy Curtis) buys himself a nickel plated Cavalary model once Stranger makes him the new Mayor of the town.

Stranger kills the three men in the barber shop with his Single Action Army.

Winchester 1892 Saddle Ring Carbine

As Stranger (Clint Eastwood) trains the town to become a fighting militia to combat Stacey Bridges (Geoffrey Lewis) and his gang, he arms many of them with Winchester 1892 Saddle Ring Carbines. Stranger uses one himself to shoot off one of Bridges' men's ears while in the valley.

12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun

12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotguns are used by many characters in the film, mainly the townspeople.

J. Stevens and Company Side by Side Shotgun (Circa 1878) exposed hammers and designed to fire Black Powder shotgun shells - 12 Gauge.
A prison guard holds a shotgun on Bridges and his gang after releasing them from prison. It seems rather foolish to face three men with a two shot weapon.

Webley Bulldog

Sarah Belding (Verna Bloom) uses a Webley Bulldog to try and shoot Stranger (Clint Eastwood) in the bath tub after he "rapes" her.
