Rifles

M16 SP1

The M16 is prominently used by McGarrett and HPD officers when engaging two kidnappers who took refuge in an old bunker in "Little Girl Blue" (S5E20). Some of the footage seen in this episode is actually from Season 4's "And I Want Some Candy and a Gun That Shoots" (S4E06).

The original M16, the first version, firing in a 20-round magazine, adopted in large numbers by the U.S. Air Force in Vietnam. This has the original 3-prong flash hider. It would later be replaced by the upgraded M16A1 - 5.56x45mm
In "Death is a Company Policy" (S5E01), McGarrett holds what appears to be an M16, although he was seen using an M1 Carbine earlier.
