Grand Theft Auto IV (the main game)

Melee:

Combat Knife

The combat knife is a small, simple Bowie knife, offering improved damage compared to fists, but severely lacking when it's compared to firearms. With the knife enabled, you are able to perform silent stealth kills on enemies in the game.

Baseball Bat

A sturdy, reliable Alabama Lie Detector. Simple and effective, but possibly less effective than the knife.

Handguns

Glock 17

The standard handgun in Grand Theft Auto IV is visibly a Glock 17. It is used by the police, as well as various other characters throughout the game. The cheapest for ammo and for the gun itself, the Glock holds a standard capacity of 17 rounds. When looking at the Glock in the gunstore it says "22" on the slide, which is the .40 cal version, while it holds 17 rounds like the 9mm. Also, when buying one off Jacob, it says 9mm. Jacob gives Niko one in "Jamaican Heat", and Niko uses it to cover Jacob during the level, and he later uses it to execute various characters, notably Vlad Glebov, and Mikhail Faustin. He later uses one when he and Roman enter the apartment of Bernie Crane (aka Florian Cravic), and in the "Deal: Mr and Mrs. Bellic", a hitman uses one to try and kill Niko, but ends up killing Roman with it. In the "Revenge: End of the Line" Level, Jimmy Pegorino uses one during his last stand against Niko.

IMI Desert Eagle

The .357 Magnum Desert Eagle, called a 'Combat Pistol' in the game, is the more powerful handgun in GTA IV, and is used by a variety of characters throughout the game.

Shotguns:

Ithaca 37 "Stakeout"

The Ithaca 37 "Stakeout", is the "Pump" entry shotgun. It is used by various gang members and police. For some reason, the in-game clone has a side mounted ejection port, instead of a bottom loading/ejection port that all Ithaca 37 shotguns are fitted with in real life. Also, the in-game clone can hold 8 shells, four more than it's real-life counterpart.

Remington 1100

The Remington 1100 semi-auto is the "Combat" entry shotgun that becomes available later in the game, and can be obtained from Police Cars. The in-game clone can hold 10 shells, two more than it's real-life counterpart. It also has a fancy thumbhole stock.

Sub Machine Guns:

IMI Micro Uzi

The Micro Uzi is used by assorted criminals in Liberty City. The weapon has a standard magazine size of 50 rounds and a fast rate of fire, but severely lacking in accuracy. Jacob uses one twice in the game, first during the "Russian Revolution" level, and later brandishes one in the final levels of the game.

SW MP-10

The MP-10 is standard issue to the LCPD SWAT teams and various gang members. This could be an MP5K, but with changes by rockstar.

Assault Rifles:

AK-47

The AK-47 is used almost entirely by criminals in the City. This is NOT the AKM, as evidenced by lack of muzzle brake and the stock, which is angled downward compared to an AKM. One is used by one of Faustin's thugs who captures Niko and Roman, another is used later by Pegorino in the "Revenge: Mr. and Mrs. Bellic" level when trying to kill Niko, but kills Kate McReary instead.

Original AK-47 design, hybrid stamped/milled receiver; 7.62x39mm.

M4A1 Carbine

The M4A1 Carbine is issued to the LCPD S.W.A.T. team, N.O.O.S.E Agents, Prison Guards, and the Airport Police, and appears to have the carry handle removed and has only a stick-up rear sight. Niko, Packie McReary, and Derrick McReary use M4A1s when they rob the Bank of Liberty in the "Three Leaf Clover" level.

Sniper Rifles:

Parker Halle Sniper

The basic, bolt action sniper rifle featured in the game is the Parker Halle. It is used by the majority of marksmen in the game. The gun appears to have undergone slight customization, with a 10 round magazine fitted, yet only holds 5. Niko uses one in one level to cover Packie during a drug deal gone wrong, and later he uses one when he hits a construction site with Playboy X.

Heckler & Koch PSG1

The semi automatic sniper rifle is a PSG1. Pinpoint accuracy but overpriced in the game. Holds 10 rounds.

Heckler & Koch PSG1 7.62x51mm NATO

Heavy Weapons

RPG-7V

The RPG-7V is the only rocket launcher in the game. Each warhead has a 3 second fuse from pulling the trigger. Niko uses one when on a mission for Derrick McReary, using it to shoot down a helicopter from a boat.
