The following guns appear in the film Gran Torino:

Gran Torino (2008)

M1 Garand

Walt Kowalski (Clint Eastwood) uses an M1 Garand that he kept from the Korean War to chase Thao Vang Lor (Bee Vang) out of his garage and scare the Hmong gangmembers off his lawn.

M1 Garand - .30-06.
Walt loads an "en-bloc" into his M1 Garand (which looks to be loaded with blanks) when he hears Thao in his garage.
Walt aims his M1 Garand at Thao in the garage.
"Get off my lawn!" Walt brings out his M1 at the gang members who harrass Thao.
"We used to stack fucks like you five feet high in Korea and use you for sand bags."
Walt keeps his M1 Garand rested against the stove in the kitchen.
Thao askes if he can use Walt's M1 Garand to get revenge on the Hmong gang, but shows him right away his lack of firearms training as he breaks all three gun safety rules at once. That is, he didn't check to see if it was loaded, wrapped his finger around the trigger, and flags Walt with the muzzle.

Colt M1911A1

Walt Kowalski (Clint Eastwood) uses a Colt M1911A1 that he kept from the Korean War to scare the "Spooks" away from Thao's sister Sue Lor (Ahney Her), and is seen carrying it around in many scenes. It should be noted the handgun looks far too shiny and new for a fifty-year-old gun. However this, along with the condition of his Gran Torino, shows the meticulous care his character takes with his belongings. Walt carries it around in his belt without a holster.

Colt M1911A1 Pistol - .45 ACP.
Walt holds his Colt M1911A1 on the "spooks" when threatening them for "fucking with the wrong guy."
Walt holding his Colt M1911A1 on the gangsters as Sue gets in his truck.
Walt chambers his Colt M1911A1 when outside Smokie's (Sonny Vue) house.
Walt beats and threatens Smokie with his Colt M1911A1 after Smokie burns Thao with a cigarette and breaks his tools.
Walt cleans his disassembled Colt M1911A1 with a chamois cloth.

MAC-10

MAC-10s are used by the Hmong gang members to shoot up the Lor's house during a drive-by.

Ingram MAC 10 - .45 ACP.

Remington 870

Martin the barber (John Carroll Lynch) jokingly pulls a Remington 870 shotgun on Thao (Bee Vang) when he doesn't properly ask for a haircut as Walt (Clint Eastwood) tries to teach him how.

Remington 870 Police Magnum Riot Shotgun - 12 Gauge.

Unknown Pistols

Many of the Hmong gangsters at the end of the film are seen aiming pistols that are too obscured from the darkness and distance to identify.

Hmong gangsters aim their pistols.

Police officers in the film are seen with 2nd Generation Glock 17s in their holsters.
