Godzilla vs. Megaguirus (2000)

Godzilla vs. Megaguirus is the 24st entry in the Toho produced Godzilla film series and second in Millenium era. This time Godizlla's main opponent is a colossus dragonfly-like monster Megaguirus.

As usual in Japanese films, on-screen firearms are special movie props that bear much resemblance with real ones.

The following weapons were used in the film Godzilla vs. Megaguirus:

Minebea P9

All G-Graspers (members of special anti-Godzilla unit) carry pistols in holsters. The general shape of these pistols allow to identify them as prop version of Minebea P9, Japanese manufactured SIG-Sauer P220 that is a standard sidearm of JSDF.

Howa 84RR

In the opening scene a unit of JGSDF tries to stop Godzilla, using rocket launchers. These props are supposed to stand for Howa 84RR, Japanese manufactured version of Carl Gustav Recoilless Rifle.

Flare Pistol

In several scenes Kiriko Tsujimori (Misato Tanaka) uses a flare pistol, modified to fire a special radio transmitter.
