Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter (2006)

Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter (G.R.A.W.) is a tactical shooter, the third installment in the Ghost Recon series. It was release in 2006 for the PC, XboX 360, XboX & PS2. The PC, XboX and PS2 versions are first person shooters, while the XboX 360 version is in the third person perspective. The game takes place in 2013. Scott Mitchell - the player's character - commands the Ghosts, an elite force which must protect the American and Mexican presidents, recover stolen military techs and battle Mexican rebels.


The following weapons appear in the video game Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter:



Handguns

Beretta M9

The standard-issue sidearm of the U.S. Military and the Ghost Squad. Fires 9x19mm bullets, has a capacity of 15+1 rounds. It is the only semi-automatic handgun in the game. Can be modified with a sound suppressor.

Glock 18C

Ghost Team machine pistol. Appears as "G18" but it is actually a Glock 18C. Cannot be modified. Available only in the PC version.

Submachine Guns

H&K MP5SD6

Suppressed Heckler & Koch submachine gun firing the 9x19mm "parabellum" round. Used by just about every NATO counter-terrorist group in the world. The SMG of choice for the Ghost squad's covert-ops. In G.R.A.W. appears as "MP5SD" and can be modified with an Aimpoint sight. It is a secondary weapon in the game.

Assault Rifles

MR-C

Experimental case-less bullpup assault rifle desgined by Crye Precision. The main rifle of the Ghost Team, can be modified with holographic sight, sound suppressor and grenade launcher. Can fire in semi-auto, 3-round burst and full-auto modes and has a 50-round magazine.

Heckler & Koch XM8

Assault rifle made by Heckler & Koch. Can be equipped with a M320 grenade launcher, precision sight and sound suppressor. In the XboX version of the game, the M320 is erroneously shown as having a forward-sliding barrel for loading (like the M203). The M320's barrel actually pivots to the side.

Heckler & Koch XM8 Compact Carbine

Smaller version of the XM8 used as a secondary weapon by the Ghost Team. Can be modified with a sound suppressor. Can fire in semi and full-auto.

H&K G36K

Carried by the Mexican soldiers throughout the game. Cannot be used by the player but the magazine can be picked up and used for the SCAR-L, XM8 and XM8 Compact.

FN SCAR-L

The SCAR-L appears with a desert (tan) finish. Has a capacity of 30+1 rounds. Used by the Ghost team, can be equipped with an Enhanced Grenade Launcher Module (EGLM), fore-grip, sound suppressor and Aimpoint sight.

FN SCAR-H CQC

Shorter battle rifle version of the previous, made for Close Quarters Combat (CQC). Fires 7.62x51mm NATO, a round that packs more power than the 5.56mm round that the SCAR-L is chambered in. It can be modded with the same attachments as the "Light" version.

Sniper Rifles

Barrett M99

Bolt-action single shot sniper rifle of the Ghost Team. Can be chambered in either .416 Barrett or .50 BMG. Appears with a short barrel. Cannot be modified.

Accuracy International AS50 Sniper Rifle

British semi-automatic heavy sniper rifle, used by the Ghost team snipers to engage targets at long distances. Fires the 12.7x99mm (.50 Caliber) BMG round. Has a capacity of 10 rounds. Performance is similar to the Barrett M82 Sniper Rifle.

Heckler & Koch PSG1

This German semi-automatic sniper rifle is used by Mexican rebel snipers in the game. Not usable by the player.

Machine Guns

Mk 48

The 7.62x51mm variant of the M249 SAW (FM Minimi) light machine gun. Comes with a 180-round ammo box. This is the only LMG in the game and cannot be modified.

Browning M2

Heavy machine gun mounted on the Mexican turrets and the Stryker APC vehicles. Fires the 12.7x99mm (.50 caliber) BMG round, from a belt magazine.

HK21E LMG

The HK21E is carried by Mexican machine gunners as well as being mounted on the Panhard APCs. Cannot be used by the player.

FN EGLM

The 40mm FN EGLM (Enhanced Grenade Launcher Module) appears as simply "grenade launcher" in the game. Can be mounted on the SCAR-L and SCAR-H.

Heckler & Koch M320

The Heckler & Koch M320 UBGL appears on the XM8 if the player chooses the grenade launcher attachment. Called "grenade launcher" in the game but strangely it has "AG36" written on it.
